Vault Board Game Cafe

Diane, plotting for revenge, invited us to play Monopoly because Jatjat beat her to it. We decided to go to the famed Vault Board Game Cafe. Yes, there is such a place where you can eat and play at the same time. Very much like your childhood friend’s house. The waiters are like their mom, constantly trying to feed you with whatever they have in their pantry. But this time, you’ll have to pay.

Since the place is always packed, it is wise to get there early so you can pick the best spot. We picked the table by the door but people could get raucous when playing games. You’ll be glad they have tables outside where you wouldn’t need to shout when trying to negotiate the price for Indiana Avenue.

I promised everyone the snacks are on me. My favorite is the Jalapeno and Olive Cheese Bombs.

These are made of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. They’re better eaten when still warm. I brought home a couple of leftovers and the cheese have started to get tough. But it’s not something your trusty microwave oven can’t melt.

Vault Board Game Cafe’s fish and chips are also something that you should get your mouth into. The fish is well-cooked, crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside, without the awful smell. The fries are crisp and tasty too.

When you decide to order their nachos -and that’s highly recommended- make sure you dig right in because corn chips are topped with the ground meat, cheese, and tomato salsa. The chips will turn soggy after a few minutes. It will be like eating your child’s leftover cereal.

Vault Board Game cafe also offers refreshments like coffee and tea. We tried their Iced Cappuccino but it was too mild for a coffee drinker like me.

Aside from the food, your geek friends would love the Vault Board Game Cafe. I only saw Marvel’s Legendary on youtube once and fell in love with it. They also have a Game of Thrones board game. Perfect while you’re waiting for season 7 to come out.
